General English Courses in Birmingham
General English courses aim to improve your ability to use English by developing your core language skills – speaking, listening, reading and writing and increasing your knowledge and use of English grammar and vocabulary.
Courses focus on the language and skills you need to communicate in real-life situations, whether for work, study or travel.
You can study from as little as one week to as much as one year or more. You can join a course on any Monday throughout the year (except UK holidays).
General English courses help build your confidence to use English every day. It's a great place to start broadening your horizons.

WHAT LEVEL IS THIS COURSE?
- General English courses are available from Beginner level to Advanced. Although students develop their language skills at different rates, we generally suggest 12 weeks to progress from one level to the next.
WHO SHOULD APPLY FOR THIS COURSE?
- The General English course is designed for students aged 16+ who want to improve their everyday language skills. This is the perfect course to take to build up confidence and use English every day. Beginners are welcome to apply too!
