Thinking of Becoming a Host?

Have you ever considered making an income from your spare bedroom(s)? One way to do it is to have an international student stay with you in your home. Our students come from all over the world to attend English language courses in the UK.

Aged 16-17 and mostly 18+, students stay with their host/host family for the duration of their English language course, internship or work experience placement. This could be as little as 2 weeks or as long as 11 months, depending on the course they have chosen or work placement they are on. You can offer a range of board options from self-catering to full board (breakfast , packed lunch and evening meal). It's up to you.

Hosts can earn an additional income up to £7500 tax-free per year.

We are always looking for welcoming Homestay Hosts to accommodate our international students and interns who come to Birmingham and the West Midlands each year. Hosts come in all shapes and sizes and we welcome applications from everyone - singles, couples, married, co-habiting, retired, empty-nesters, single parent families, of all ethnicities, reflecting the cultural diversity of Birmingham.
