Hi ! I’m Cathy and I have two daughters who have finished their university degrees. They don’t live with me now but visit all the time. I love art, music and travelling, and regularly go to Morocco where I volunteer at a children’s charity. When I was 18 years old I lived with a family in Spain and studied Spanish at Madrid University which is one of the reasons I would like to welcome students into my friendly family home.

What we Offer

My home is cosy, comfortable and spacious. Your bedroom is a large, light and warm double room with a wardrobe, drawers, under bed storage, and a desk and chair for studying. It also has a television and unlimited internet access. The shared areas include a bathroom with a bath, toilet and separate shower cubicle, a downstairs toilet, a lounge, and a large open plan kitchen, dining and living area which leads out onto a sunny garden. The kitchen is well equipped with a dishwasher, microwave and coffee machine.

Where we Live

My home is in the heart of Harborne and a short walk to the high street which has good transport links and several buses to Birmingham city centre (a 10-15 minute journey). From the train station in Birmingham you can visit anywhere in the UK! Harborne is a friendly place in a great location with good facilities. There are a variety of restaurants, cafes and bars, and all the usual shops. It also has its own swimming pool, gym and library, and 2 parks. The Botanical Gardens, Cadbury World and cinemas are nearby. I will do everything to help you enjoy your stay here.
